説明

で marks the place where an action happens. It answers “where?” and is used with action verbs like eat, study, and play. This is different from に, which marks a destination or the location of existence. Key points: • で marks the place of an action • Use with action verbs: 食べます, 勉強します, 遊びます • Use に for destination or existence, not for action location • It can also mark the place where an event happens For example, “学校で勉強します” means “I study at school.” The action (studying) happens at school, so use で. “レストランでご飯を食べます” means “I eat at a restaurant.” If you say “学校に勉強します,” it sounds incorrect because に is not used for the location of an action. Reserve に for going to a place or existing at a place: “学校に行きます” or “学校にいます.” Remember: action location = で. Destination/existence = に. Keeping this difference clear will make your sentences accurate and natural. If the verb is something you do (study, eat, play), think で. If the verb is movement or existence (go, come, be), think に. This quick check helps you choose the right particle.
