Explication

The ～と思う grammar point is used to express one's thoughts or opinions on a particular subject or situation. It can be translated as 'I think' or 'I believe' in English.

Structure

[Verb-casual + と思う], [い-Adjective + と思う], [な-Adjective + だと思う], [Noun + だと思う]
Verb-casualThe casual form of the verb is used before ～と思う.
Exemples: 晴れる (hareru) - to be sunny
い-Adjectiveい-adjectives directly precede ～と思う without any change.
Exemples: 面白い (omoshiroi) - interesting
な-Adjectiveな-adjectives require 'だ' before ～と思う.
Exemples: 親切 (shinsetsu) - kind
NounNouns are followed by 'だ' and then ～と思う.
