後で means “after” or “later.” It is used to say that one action happens after another action or time. You can use it with verbs or nouns. Key points: • Verb (past short form) + 後で: 食べた後で • Noun + の + 後で: 授業の後で • It marks the action that happens later • Common in daily routines Example: “昼ご飯を食べた後で勉強します” means “I study after eating lunch.” “授業の後で友だちに会います” means “I meet my friend after class.” When using verbs, use the past short form (た-form). When using a noun, add の before 後で. 後で can also mean “later” by itself, like “後で電話します” (I’ll call later). Practice by describing order: 仕事の後で買い物します, 寝た後でシャワーを浴びます.
