Explication

まで means “until” or “up to.” It marks the end point of time or place. When you say a time + まで, you are saying that something continues until that time. Key points: • Time + まで = until that time • Place + まで = up to that place • Often pairs with から (from) • The end point is included Examples: “五時まで働きます” means “I will work until 5.” “駅まで歩きます” means “I will walk to the station.” When you use から and まで together, you clearly show a range: “九時から五時まで” (from 9 to 5). Note that まで can be used for location or time, so context is important. This grammar point focuses on time, but you will also see it with destinations. Practice with daily schedules: 学校は八時から三時まで, or 勉強は夜まで. It is a very common word in everyday Japanese.
