The past form of な-adjectives uses でした. You attach でした to the adjective to say it “was” something. Key points: • な-adjective past: adjective + でした • Use after nouns with な (きれいな町) • Polite and common for past descriptions • Same pattern for all な-adjectives For example, “静か” becomes “静かでした” (was quiet). “便利” becomes “便利でした” (was convenient). You can say “昨日のテストは簡単でした” (Yesterday's test was easy). Remember that な-adjectives use です/でした like nouns. They do not change the adjective itself in the past; only です changes to でした. Practice with common な-adjectives: きれいでした, しずかでした, べんりでした.
