同じ (おなじ) means “same.” It is used to say that two things are the same. It behaves like a な-adjective, but it does not take な before a noun. Key points: • Pattern: A は B と 同じ です • と connects the two things being compared • 同じ acts like a noun/na-adjective but no な before noun • Very common for identity or similarity Example: “この本はあの本と同じです” means “This book is the same as that book.” You can also use it with people: “私とあなたは同じ学校です” (We are from the same school). Remember: do not add な before nouns (❌ 同じな本). Just use 同じ + noun: “同じ本.” Practice by comparing things around you: 同じ色, 同じ名前, 同じクラス.
